With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Bradley Plaxen has developed professional software for a range of products including game engines, embedded hardware, and web-based solutions.

Game Engine Technology

Bradley has worked comfortably with both of the most widely used game engines (Unreal and Unity), having shipped multiple products with the latter.

While working for Kognito Health Solutions, Bradley developed software tools for the design team in Python, Google Scripts, and C#. These tools integrated with Kognito’s proprietary dialogue system, and they reduced design time by up to 25% per project.

In his current role as a Narrative Designer at People Can Fly, Bradley develops original UE4 Blueprints which integrate with animations, behavior trees, and other AI systems.

Embedded Hardware Design

Bradley has experience developing custom hardware on commercial projects, having specialized in embedded design during his time at school.

In 2016, Bradley worked for the smart home security company “” and developed internal testing circuit boards to aid fellow engineers with their PCB designs.

In 2014, he contributed to the early prototypes of the Hooke Verse, a pair of binaural recording Bluetooth headphones currently available for purchase.

And for his senior capstone thesis project, he worked on a small team which developed a system of transmitting data tags using ordinary camera phones via the imperceptible flashing of regular LED light bulbs. This project won 2nd place overall in his year.

Web Development

Bradley has contributed to small-scale front-end web development for many organizations, developing a proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. In 2014, he spent his summer working for Welcome, an online customer service solution for retail websites. He built prototypes for client-facing tools using AngularJS and D3 libraries.
